2018 Business excellence award nominee and finalist

Think about what you want to do with your photos and set aside a budget:

  • Think ahead about what you would like to do with your photos.?
  • Will they be displayed on your beautiful family photo wall,
  • We know the Grandparents would love some prints to add to their ever growing collection
  • Will they be given to family and friends
  • Will you be ordering some custom products (mugs, enlargements, canvas etc.)

Discuss the shoot with those participating:

  • It is always best to discuss the shoot with those participating that way everyone knows what to expect.
  • Children most often take comfort in knowing what is happening. They feel excited and are more likely to want to be photographed when included in the planning stages.

Choose outfits and accessories for the family:

  • It is always a good idea to coordinate your outfits for the shoot to get the best results. For example everyone wearing Jeans and a white shirt, black pants and a blue shirt or girls can wear black skirts/dress and boys black pants.
  • Pack make-up, hair products, water sunscreen or bug spray you might need:
  • Remember if your shoot is outdoors on a hot summer day to bring water, sunscreen, bug spray and tissues to blot the sweat away.
  • Remember to also bring your touch up products as well

Remember to Enjoy your session!

  • Try not to get too stressed out about the shoot. Instead try to make it a stress-free casual and simple event. Remember the more relaxed you are the better the photos will turn out. Enjoy this wonderful bonding opportunity and start out a lifelong tradition of capturing the special little moments.
